Extensive renovation & addition to existing library constructed in 1915
Library sits on tight site within active Harvard Yard
Extensive, detailed renovation and interior expansion; scope of work included an upgrade of the HVAC, humidity control, electrical, lighting, fire suppression, and security systems and the reorganization of offices and supporting areas
Two light-wells at the center of the library were infilled to create a new addition for the stack systems, staff areas, new reading rooms and mechanical space
Work phased to allowed library to remain open and fully functional
Received AGC Build Mass Award for project team effectiveness
